Well I decided to go see Jared for his Birthday. I took Friday off and left to go down Thurs after work. I only went as far as Vernon that was about half way. It is 8 hours to where he is at. I then went friday morning to go See and stay with My friend Mary Lewis. It was so nice to visit her, we also went to the new Gila Temple. I called the prison on Friday to see the hours and what all I could bring. I found out all I could bring is 30.00 worth of quarters. So I left early sat morning and came onto a turn off that said prison. So I get there and go in and they say to hurry up that I had to be in by 930. I told them I called yesterday and no one had said that to me. so I had for got Jared ADC # so they were trying to look it up and couldn't find him. Well I said isn't this the Fort Grant Prison. They said no this is the federal prison I had to go another 45 minutes away. So off I went and I turned off another road and went way deep into these mountains. I finally get there and fill out the paperwork and then the officer asks if the brace I had on did I have a doctors excuse to wear it. I said no. He told me that Jared was a level 1 and I could go in which it was 10 am and stay till noon or come back at noon and stay till 3. Well I was out in the middle of nowhere so I said what would I do for 2 hours and just decided to stay till noon.Then he told me that I can only have one key and one remote on me when I go in. So I take off my shoes empty my pockets and go thru the metal detector. I felt as if I was in the Airport. Well the alarm went off. He asked me if I had an underwire in my bra. I ran my hands under my breasts and said yes. He said you'll have to remove them. I said how the hell am I going to do that. He went into the office and came out with a staple remover. I looked at him and laughed. I said cant I just take it off he said no. He then show me to a room and the bathroom was at the end of it and I was heading that way. He said no you have to do it here in this room well there were windows with no shades and I said what about the windos he said no one can see in. He told me to make a hole where the wired ended and pull it thru so I turned my back to the windows and proceeded to do so. I took them out. Went out of the room and asked if I could put them with the rest of my things and he said no you have to throw them away. How ridiculous is that. Well I finally passed thru the metal detector. I had a good visit with Jared we ate all kinds of junk food out of the vending machines. HJared told me he just got fired from his job. He and his friend were goofing off and his friend thru a tomato at him and they had it on video so they fired him. He now works for the city of Wilcox. So he took a cut in pay but he should be able to get it back in 2 months. He has already finished his course in construction and he will take a course in air conditioning in the fall. He seemed in good spirits. Her ceremony was done in the middle of the forest by Bishop Roskelly. It was a gorgeous day. I gave my daughter away. Ashley and I had to get ready in a tent so that she didn't have a wrinkled gown. We traveled 2 hours away which was my fault I was told I took everyone the long way there. Oh well we all got there and everything went well. here are a few pictures I took with my phone. Doesn't he look handsome in his show clothes? Aaron did very well in his showmanship. He got second place in novice which is your first year. He sold his Pig at the auction for $3.20 a lb. his pig weighed 269. So he made alot of money. Blairs trading post in Page bought him. This was a very good experience for him and he wants to do it again next year. Sarah and Michael came up to watch and so did grandma and grandpa. It was alot of fun camping for 4 days. Aaron also got hypnotized at the fair and that was really funny. We bought the dvd of it so we can still laugh about it. I told him I didnt know how to play he said he would show me. I said yea and take all my chips. Well I played alright and kicked butt all nite. The guys couldn't believe that I was winning every hand but 3. Then they auctioned off a spay for a cat in which I purchased with my chips and I walked away with 2 baskets full of goodies. One of them was a wine basket very nice I didnt know what I was going to do with it until the guy that invited me to play poker got a girlie basket so I asked if he would trade and he did . So I got alot more in prizes then what I payed to have fun. It was a really good time. Here are my 2 little grand daughters.<br />I made these dresses with part of Ashleys homecoming dress material. Aaron had the flu Christmas morning. I felt so bad for him. Jared couldn't make it either he had pnenomia. I took him Christmas dinner afterwards. Im sure he enjoyed it cus I think he doesnt cook much. Dad was in a care center to get his leg therapy so him and mom didnt make it either. We had another christmas at the care center. Dad had alot of visitors so I dont think he was too sad. My girlfriend Jan and I went to the temple in St George on sat and she did some Christmas shopping. So it was 5:30 pm by the time we left so it was dark shortly after. Well just outside of Kanab we hit a deer. Boy is that scary. It was a big buck four points. And it did alot of damage to her car. Unfortuneatly it is against the law in Utah to take what you have hit. In AZ you can get a tag from the highway patrol to take the deer or elk you hit. She has sworn we arent driving back at night anymore and she hit one on the way home in Kanab a week ago and it took off her side mirror. <br />The deer was crossing the road and another car was coming from the other direction and the dumb deer got in front of us and just stopped. She slowed down enough that it didnt go thru our windsheild. It definately killed it. This is where the boys make a boat out of card board and duck tape. They can paint their boat but that is all they can use. I<br />got to sew it. It really turned out nice. She likedc it and so did<br />everyone else. She got alot of Compliments on it. Her date finally<br />asked her the Monday before that Friday. And of all places at her<br />work. Oh well guys just need to get a clue. She had it all planned<br />out that That a bunch of her girlfriends were going to go together<br />and she was going to drive. But alas she got a date. This is the<br />first homecoming game they have won in 14 years, 32-16. Of<br />course Ashley says she was their goodluck charm. Her poor date<br />at the game had to share her. She had 2 other guys wanting her<br />attention I was right there witnessing the whole thing they didnt care<br />she had a date. Her date and another couple met at this guys house<br />and they decorated the patio and served the girls dinner. She said<br />it was really nice. When they got to the dance she said everyone just<br />sttod around unless it was a slow song. So she got a group of kids and<br />they all danced in the middle together. I'll tell you what when I went to<br />the football game I know how my kids feel being a minority. I dont feel<br />that way anywhere else but I did there. So we all met in Flagstaff and poor micheal was the first one there and<br />had to go to several camp sites till he could find one. I packed everything up in a 28 foot Uhaul. It was full from from top to bottom. I didnt think it would all fit (well actually I have to back to get a few things like my grill and other things that did get left). We moved it all a week before the kids were out of school. So we got there Sat. nite and unloaded Sunday. Then headed home to vernon on Sunday nite. Then the kids had school for the next week. Then we headed back up the next weekend. Well I thought I was going to rent another uhaul trailer but I didnt have any light to go to the trailer so I packed my vehicle to the top then put everything I could on top. Dallas got hired on with the Glen Dam at Lake Powell as an armed guard. Full time work <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">YAY</span>!. He starts <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">tomorrow</span> so he has to get a studio apartment till the kids get out of school the 21 of May. Then we have to find a place to rent or buy if we are lucky. Its a small town like Show Low. So that is nice. We are getting there in time for Ashley and I to get jobs before the college student come and take them all. It is a tourist trap and the college kids come up from <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">NAU</span> and down from Utah to get jobs for the summer and stay in dorms that <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">dont</span> cost much. I have to get rid of my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">rottweilers</span> so if you know anyone who would want one Id like to get $100.00 for the 2 black ones and $300.00 for the red one. we are going to try to keep bailey but it depends on if they let us if we rent. Aaron has no feelings about this either way accept he is leaving a girl friend. But his 2 best friends moved a month ago. We went to Steve and Tinas for dinner. We also have bveth back living with us till the 12th of Dec. Then she is going back to Kentucky to live with her birth father and grandparents. We had alot of fun playing games and all. Well that nite when we came home I started having pains in my stomach about 10:30 P.M. I told Dallas to put on his clothes we are going to the hospital. <em> I had had these pains about 5 days ago and I didnt know what they were. Till I talked to some friends and they said it was my gall bladder. Well this is more painful than having a baby. So we went to the hospital and they said it was my gall bladder and scheduled surgery for the next day. On friday when the surgeon came in I told him where the pain was and he wanted to make sure it was my gall bladder and not an ulcer to they did a test for an ulser where they put a tube down my throat with a camera (I was asleep) and another more sensitive test for my gall bladder. Aftet my tests he decided that it was just my gall bladder. So they took it out on Saturday. I was so mad I missed black friday I had a list of things I was going to get too. But now Im at home gettin g better. Ashleys is on the dance team and they went to the pre-state competition. They did really well. It was in Scottsdale at Desert Mountain High School. They are a 3A school and there dance team made 4th and get to go to state. They would have placed 3rd but one of the girls dropped her pom during the dance. But that is ok they still get to go to state. Their Cheer stunt team (which one of my nieces is on and another niece coaches) they placed 3rd and get to go to state also. Ashley the (week before competition) was so tired and sore from extra practices. But there was no service so he said a prayer for the Lord to help him get a call thru. Soon after that prayer his next call went thru and he was able to get an officer down where he was. The officer told him that an officer only goes thru the canyon once a day so he would have been stuck down there a long time. Well last nite we got a call about 12:30 a.m.<br />Jeanne answered it and this guy said this is Mathew from the AZ Highway dept. is April there. Well She thought it was a joke and asked what he wanted and he said that he would tell April. She said well Im not waking her up and he said good bye. After she woke up a bit she came down and told me what had happened. So I went up stairs and dialed *69 and got a Phone number that called and I called it and it was the AZ Highway dept. So I explained someone named Mathew had called my home and they patched him to me. Well while all this was going on Im wondering who is in trouble. Dallas was in Queen Creek and Ashley was gone. My heart was pounding. The officer got on the phone and said that Dallas had broke down in the Salt River Canyon but was alright and was being towed home. I thanked him for the information and hung up. I tried to call but no answer he was evidently in a no service zone. So I tried to go back to sleep. About 3 a.m. Dallas called the house and was in Show Low and for me to come get him. When I came to get him got the whole story. Someone was going like 15 mph on the side of the road and Dallas decided to pass him then the guy sped up and ran him off the road. He was on the canyon side of the guard rail. and about 10 feet from the edge of a big drop off. He stop just in time then he went to try and get out back to the road. He went for a little while and the truck sounded funny he pulled over then it wouldnt go again. Well n oe he is just sitting on the guard rail and a fox comes up to him growling. Now this isnt normal for a fox to come up to a truck with the flashers on and a human near by. Dallas shined the flashlight on him and he sat there for about 2 minutes and just growled so dallas decide to sit on the hood of his truck until the officer found him. We it was $450.00 to tow the truck and trailer 44 miles. That is highway robbery. Well Im glad he didnt go over the edge. but now we need to take the truck in to get fixed not sure what is wrong. He ran over alot of things. It stopped working after Ashley, Aaron and my friend cindy and I were out in the middle of no where looking for indian pottery and tools. Well thank goodness it didnt stop out in the middle of nowhere. It waited till we got to cindys house and it has been sitting there for a week. I found out I have to take the steering wheel off to get to it . So when Dallas came home this weekend we went to rent one at checker auto. Well I guess you dont just rent them they make you pay for it then you get all your money back when you return it. Well I thought that was a pretty good idea. So it cost us $14.00 and all afternoon to fix it but Dallas did it. We didnt quite get the blinkers to work again but at least I have wheels. </div><br /><div>Well where my friend Cindy lives is next to a pond the the elk like to come down to here are some pictures I took. They came right into her back yard to eat. For those of you who dont know what a roadshow is, it is a short 10 minute play that each ward has to come up with. Then the nite of the show they travel to 3 different buildings and put it on 3 different times. I filmed this with my camera in 3 different segments it is hard to make out Ashley &amp; Aaron I will tell you where to look for them. Ashley is a lion and when she comes out with another lion she is the one on the left she has a couple of solo songs. Aaron is a monkey and he is on the right in the opening act. He is the one on the right bobbing up and down avoiding a female monkey, he is also the one who hands the chocolate to Adam and he is the announcer of the concert. So try and look for them. Ashley, Aaron and I traveled down to Tucson to go to Winston's graduation. We had to rent a car because the clutche went out in the Pinto two days before.We were expecting it to be very hot and wore shorts. Well it ended up very cloudy and very windy. It was actually nice except for the wind. We went to Winstons house and had dinner. He had 480 students graduating. WOW that is alot. The ceremony went pretty fast for as many students that there was. It started at 7 P.M. and ended at 8:30 P.M. It took us forever to get out of the parking lot. Winstons school had an event at the school for all the students to celebrate their graduation. Here are a few pictures. Oh they also had a neat light show after it was all over. I knew the Spring Fling was coming up but Aaron never brings home any papers to tell me what is going on. So the afternoon of the Spring Fling he calls me and tells me it is tonite. Well that figures we get no advanced notice. Then he wants his friend Morgan to come home with him so we can take him to and from the concert. So here is 2 videos of Aaron playing the guitar and the Maracas. And to top it off he also has to have his science project done for that nite too. So we had to whip up a science project and not do the one we had planned. He took first place last year well that wont be happening this year. We ended up doing it on natural plastic. We made a natural plastic spoon out of milk and vinegar. Well we had someone feeding Ashleys cat while we were gone. But we have never been gone that long before. So we get home and we haven't been seeing him but the food is always gone. So she kept feeding him. Well Sunday a friend of Ashleys calls her and asks if she is missing her cat. We said well we haven't seen him lately. So we went over to his house. Now this is the funny thing. This guy was our next door neighbor. Well that is 5 miles away from where we are now. Guess what it was him he was under this guys house and we brought him home and put him in a shed, till he gets used to it and now he is gone again. We colored easter eggs and had our traditional nite eggs hunt. I found some glow in the dark eggs and some dark colored eggs that had a small strip of reflectant on them so they got to use flash lights.
