Hunting anyone?

Well I guess you can say I got my Deer for this year and I wasnt even drawn. My girlfriend Jan and I went to the temple in St George on sat and she did some Christmas shopping. So it was 5:30 pm by the time we left so it was dark shortly after. Well just outside of Kanab we hit a deer. Boy is that scary. It was a big buck four points. And it did alot of damage to her car. Unfortuneatly it is against the law in Utah to take what you have hit. In AZ you can get a tag from the highway patrol to take the deer or elk you hit. She has sworn we arent driving back at night anymore and she hit one on the way home in Kanab a week ago and it took off her side mirror.
The deer was crossing the road and another car was coming from the other direction and the dumb deer got in front of us and just stopped. She slowed down enough that it didnt go thru our windsheild. It definately killed it. Not sure how there was no blood.

Boy Scout Rigatta

Well Aaron has participated in his first rigatta. This is where the boys make a boat out of card board and duck tape. They can paint their boat but that is all they can use. Here is a picture of
Aarons group boat and then some pictures of some experienced scouts doing this. They camped out at Lake Powell and had the race the nexted afternoon. Aaron had a good time but he is already planning for next year so if any of you run across some large card board tubes he can use for next year please save them for him.

Homecoming 2009

Ok this is Ashleys Homecoming dress that she created her self. I
got to sew it. It really turned out nice. She likedc it and so did
everyone else. She got alot of Compliments on it. Her date finally
asked her the Monday before that Friday. And of all places at her
work. Oh well guys just need to get a clue. She had it all planned
out that That a bunch of her girlfriends were going to go together
and she was going to drive. But alas she got a date. This is the
first homecoming game they have won in 14 years, 32-16. Of
course Ashley says she was their goodluck charm. Her poor date
at the game had to share her. She had 2 other guys wanting her
attention I was right there witnessing the whole thing they didnt care
she had a date. Her date and another couple met at this guys house
and they decorated the patio and served the girls dinner. She said
it was really nice. When they got to the dance she said everyone just
sttod around unless it was a slow song. So she got a group of kids and
they all danced in the middle together. I'll tell you what when I went to
the football game I know how my kids feel being a minority. I dont feel
that way anywhere else but I did there. All the royality were Navajo.
Ashley was nominated but when it came down to it all the ones to choose
from where Navajo.

Grandbabies

Hear are some pictures of my daughter and daughter-in-law and their little girls.

My new Job

Yes I got a job before I moved to Page. Which was great because I couldnt get a full time work where I was living. Ive started to work For Bank of the West. Im a teller. Ive really liked it so far. But the branch is so busy that they Have sent me to Holbrook to train. Ive been put up in a hotel and a credit card to eat on . Wow Ive never been treated like this. This is sweet. It has been years since Ive been able to dress up for work and not do anything physical for work I love it. Besides Im getting to old for that physical stuff. I get good pay and benefits. Woooo Hooo!!!!!

New Grandbabies

Well I have 2 new grandbabies. Robert and Becky Had their little girl on May 13, Ella Cheri Smith weighing in at 6lbs 8 ounces. Then on May 28 Michael and Sarah had their little girl Reese Marie Trujillo weighing in at 6lbs 15 ounces. They were both beautiful babies. I got to go down and see them the weekend after I started my job.

the move to Page, AZ

Well we finally moved to Page. I packed everything up in a 28 foot Uhaul. It was full from from top to bottom. I didnt think it would all fit (well actually I have to back to get a few things like my grill and other things that did get left). We moved it all a week before the kids were out of school. So we got there Sat. nite and unloaded Sunday. Then headed home to vernon on Sunday nite. Then the kids had school for the next week. Then we headed back up the next weekend. Well I thought I was going to rent another uhaul trailer but I didnt have any light to go to the trailer so I packed my vehicle to the top then put everything I could on top. Here are a few pictures of the area.

NEW NEWS

Well we are off to a new adventure. Dallas got hired on with the Glen Dam at Lake Powell as an armed guard. Full time work YAY!. I dont know what that is. He starts tomorrow so he has to get a studio apartment till the kids get out of school the 21 of May. Then we have to find a place to rent or buy if we are lucky. Its a small town like Show Low. So that is nice. We are getting there in time for Ashley and I to get jobs before the college student come and take them all. It is a tourist trap and the college kids come up from NAU and down from Utah to get jobs for the summer and stay in dorms that dont cost much. I have to get rid of my rottweilers so if you know anyone who would want one Id like to get $100.00 for the 2 black ones and $300.00 for the red one. we are going to try to keep bailey but it depends on if they let us if we rent. Aaron has no feelings about this either way accept he is leaving a girl friend. But his 2 best friends moved a month ago. Ashley isnt to happy cus it is her senior year in high school. She is leaving her friends and she made the dance team for next year. Ill call the high school up there and see if she can try out for their dance team then she will get to know people fast. That is our excitement for now.
